Here’s the last post regarding the fabulous ‘Preppy Tie Party’! Today we’re going to be covering everyone’s favorite topic… food and drink! I went crazy with labels for this party and labeled pretty much everything that was served. This first image shows some bottles of wine that were labeled with weatherproof label paper from OnlineLabels.com and displayed in a personalized galvanized bucket from Wandering Starfish. The labels that I used on the bottles are available in the shop.
I also re-labeled all of the beer, water, and juice that was served. It’s amazing how much re-branding products can give a party a cohesive feel. There are no competing colors and everything looks like it belongs. I think this is something I will definitely be doing going forward because it really does make a huge impact on the overall look of the event. The labels that were used on the beer, water, and juice are available here.
We served vanilla cupcakes and raspberry macarons from Sophisticakes. The beautiful fondant toppers were designed by Sugar High Inc. to coordinate with the party. Brenda did such a wonderful job on these! Aren’t the fondant bows amazing?!? I can’t even believe that she was able to do that AND mail them to me from across the country in one piece!
These beautiful cookies are by Lizy B Bakes. Didn’t Liz do such an amazing job? I sent her an invitation and she perfectly matched the navy and pink colors for me. They are just the cutest! Oh, and I know sometimes royal icing cookies don’t taste very good, but these were SO yummy!
We had a simple white cake that was a collaboration between Creative Cakes By Debby and Sugar High Inc.. Debby made the cake and I topped it off with a fondant bow tie that Brenda sent along with the cupcake toppers.
What’s a birthday party without ice cream? Vanilla ice cream was served with coordinating hand stamped wooden spoons from One Stylish Party and fondant bows that were made by my mom (she’s one talented lady!). Tara from One Stylish Party was gracious enough to create custom stamped wooden cutlery for the party! It added a really nice touch to the ice cream cups.
In addition to the fondant cupcake toppers there also had paper toppers that I created and attached to some swizzle sticks from PartyOn! Designs. The sticks come in a light wood color and I painted the tops navy to match the party. The printable cupcake toppers are available in the shop.
Since it was also my birthday we had some good old adult beverages! This Watermelon Sangria was to die for! I topped it off with some personalized labels and then displayed all of the drinks on an upside down flower box that we painted white. The glass containers are from Amazon. When I originally purchased them one arrived broken so I wouldn’t really recommend buying such a delicate item online. I’ve seen similar containers locally at Target, HomeGoods, and Pottery Barn.
These chocolate covered oreos are from Sweeties By Kim and were SO good!
I couldn’t throw a bow tie themed party with having some bow tie pasta so bow tie pasta salad was served in these cute little personalized deli containers. I got the containers off Amazon and the labels are available in the shop.
That should just about cover all of the details of this ‘Preppy Tie Party’! If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment or contact me through Etsy or our contact form. I am always happy to help : )
