Once I became a mother finding comfortable and stylish shoes became a priority to me. Gone were the days of walking around in heels all day. I was now carrying an infant and the last thing I wanted to do was sprain an ankle, have pain in my feet, or accidentally trip and fall. I’ve tested many flats over the last 3 years and they have all either (1) caused pain in my feet until they were broken in or (2) stretched out so much that they were unwearable. My sister finally recommended I try Tory Burch Ballet Flats.
I was hesitant at first because the price point was high and I had never spent that much on a pair of shoes. The first pair I got I actually received as a Christmas gift from said sister (thanks Ash!). Now I have three pairs! One pair of the Reva Ballet Flat and two pairs of the Caroline Ballet Flat.
Well, let me tell you, these two shoes are not the same! The Reva Flat hurt my feet for the first few weeks of wear, but did eventually become very comfortable.
The Caroline Flat was perfectly comfortable from day one. Folks, we have a winner! The elastic trim at the top of the shoe makes all the difference in comfort. I will now be donning Tory Burch Caroline Ballet Flats until I can no longer afford to wear them (or an amazing new product takes their place).
Yes, they’re expensive. The price point is much higher than other shoes you can find, but they’re comfortable and classically simple. I’m passed the days of dressing trendy and wanting to have a million options in my closet. My style is simple and classic and this makes it extremely easy for me to justify investing in staple items for my wardrobe. I would rather have 3 pairs of $225 shoes than 6 pairs of $50 shoes that hurt my feet or will be out of style next year. I know I will still love these flats 3 years from now and they make my feet happy!
Have you tried Tory Burch Caroline Flats or do you have another shoe you just can’t live without?
